After a lengthy delay, we have our first look at Tommy Wirkola's HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS.

At best, the DEAD SNOW filmmaker's take on of the classic Brothers Grimm characters looks goofy and imaginative (and utilizing some practical FX, as well), at worst, hokey and accompanied by an awkward Jeremy Renner voiceover. It was also pushed back nearly a year as Paramount reportedly struggled with the decision to release it as a neutered PG-13, or an over-the-top and, quite gorier version.

Neither is confirmed at its iTunes trailer premiere, but we're hoping for an untethered, creature-filled funfest on Janurary 11.
