The producers of the Texas-lensed “smasher movie” SWEATSHOP just sent along a striking new foreign sales poster, with the news that the international trailer has debuted on-line. Read on to see the art!
Screen Media Ventures LLC is handling the film for overseas sales and will be screening it twice at the Cannes Film Festival 2010 market; you can see the new trailer at SWEATSHOP’s official website. Directed by DOMAIN OF THE DAMNED’s Stacy Davidson from a script he wrote with Ted Geoghegan, SWEATSHOP is a group of youths setting up a late-night rave in an abandoned building, unaware that it’s the haven of The Beast (Jeremy Sumrall), a man-monster who wields a huge hammer made from a steel pipe and an anvil. Ashley Kay, Melanie Donihoo, Peyton Wetzel, Danielle Jones, Julin, Brent T. Himes and Krystal Freeman star (full disclosure: yours truly also appears in a small role), with New York City Horror Film Festival award-winning makeup FX by Kristi Boul, Marcus Koch and Mike Oliver. Keep your eyes here for further news on SWEATSHOP as it closes in on U.S. release.
